CentreStage is a dynamic, inclusive, and exciting arts and wellbeing charity in the heart of Kilmarnock, residing in the regenerated Kilmarnock Academy building.


CentreStage is for everyone, of any age and from any background. We offer free opportunities for disadvantaged children and young people, care experienced people, people with Additional Learning Needs, older adults, people with dementia and anyone who wants to experience the arts and improve their wellbeing in a place where they feel safe, valued, and included. Through providing access to the arts for all, people of all circumstances are experiencing improved mental health, reduced isolation and improved life opportunities.

The Role

At CentreStage we’re about going above and beyond with our customer experience everyday.


Key Duties & Responsibilities


Food


·       Store, prepare and cook ingredients correctly to deliver a quality product that is safe for the customer.

·       Set up, prepare, and clean to company standards whilst working in a fast paced, time bound environment.

·       Ensure that stock is managed and controlled.


People


·       Support the kitchen team to deliver high standards of service and customer satisfaction during service periods.

·       Support an open, honest, and engaging culture where team members can excel.

·       Drive own personal development within position using support functions where necessary.


Compliance and Quality


·       Ensure you are fully compliant and that you are aware of your responsibilities for Health & Safety and Food Safety.

·       Complete kitchen documentation as required.

·       Always maintain a clean and hygienic environment.

·       Complete Due Diligence recording.


Skills & Experience relevant to the role:


·       Can work at pace on behalf of customers and actions requests quickly.

·       To go the extra mile and ensure the highest level of customer service is provided to all customers and events which includes shows, events,                     classes, room hires and meetings.

·       Has the ability to identify customer service problems or issues before they arise.

·       Is multi-skilled and flexible and able to work as a team across all areas of the venue.

·       Is well-organised and can work in a systematic way.

·       Be flexible to work across daytimes, evenings and weekends when required.

·       Attention to detail to deliver consistency across all dishes.

·       Enthusiastic and committed to driving high standards.

·       Highly organised and thrives being part of a team.

·       Positive outlook with a good degree of energy, resilience, and a flexible attitude.

·       Previous experience in a busy commercial kitchen will be advantageous.
