CentreStage, 'The Scottish Hospitality Awards 2022' finalists

CentreStage Reach Finals of ‘The Scottish Hospitality Awards 2022’.

The Scottish Hospitality Awards return this year after a difficult period for the industry, and after a tremendous number of nominations received, the finalists have been revealed for the black-tie event that will be held on 20th June 2022 at The Marriott Hotel, Glasgow. We are delighted to share that CentreStage are finalists in the ‘Best Theatre in Scotland’ category - an award we were bestowed with back in 2019.

Since we delivered our first production ‘All Together Now!’ in our new theatre back in November 2022, the theatre is going from strength to strength with various sell out productions taking place.

The Scottish Hospitality Awards celebrate the dedication, skill, and customer service delivered across the industry, shining a spotlight on ‘excellence.’ They also aim to acknowledge those who make a positive difference in this sector as well as the efforts that the experts put in to ensuring their customers always receive top services and unforgettable experiences.

Interim CEO at CentreStage, Duncan Leask said, “CentreStage, like many theatres across Scotland, have faced immense pressure these past two years as we didn’t only have to survive during the peak of COVID lockdown; but also focus on encouraging our audience to return to the theatre to enjoy all the magic again. Our customers have returned to appreciate our new ‘state of the art theatre’, positioned at the heart of our new home, the former Kilmarnock Academy. After a £4 million regeneration of the site – Ayrshire’s Arts Academy is fully open and ready to welcome you all back to enjoy the theatre and much more. We are delighted to have reached the final, and I thank our hard-working team for ensuring our customers receive a memorable experience whilst with us; good luck to all finalists on the night.”

A Spokesperson for the Scottish Hospitality Awards 2022 said, ” Working for the hospitality industry can be challenging at times and the last few years have shown that. These awards aim to recognise those who have succeeded in this sector, despite the difficulties. There are people who have dedicated their whole career in making the country a special destination for visitors. It is time to give those professionals the recognition they deserve.

The awards will provide a platform to thank and honour those who have contributed to making Scotland a friendly and welcoming place, enhancing the country’s reputation nationally and internationally. We would like to congratulate all the finalists for their nomination and wish them the best of luck.”
